Earning money with Articles : Free Article Content

Some webmasters try to use articles from free content directories to get traffic to their internet site and make some money.  This is mostly crucial for people that have just begun working as an associate for many firms and don’t yet have any funding, yet need to built tiny niche websites to traffic to their site so they can start to make revenue.

Though this can often be the sole option for people who are running on a non-existent budget, it is not a way that will effectively build your website or cash.  There are a few potential reasons why this could be detrimental to your business building efforts.

Problem one – Search Engines

Search engines will only look down upon your website if it has the very same duplicated content than other sites.  The more sites that share your content, the less it’ll help you achieve good search engine rankings.

Good search engine rankings are vital in getting traffic to your sit in order that they have a chance to click on your affiliate links.  If you cannot even get traffic, then will never make an income.  Working on the SEO of your website so that you will eventually be high enough in the results to get customers, should be priority one.

Problem 2 – Getting visitors to click

Although getting your web site high on search engine result pages and acquiring site visitors is tough work, sadly this is only half of the battle.  You must also be in a position to convince those traffic to click on your affiliate links.  If your visitors see the same content they have seen on a great number of other sites, they’ll be least likely to click on your links.  The reason is because the general public want to buy things that are counseled by individuals that they trust or whom they feel a bit like are very experienced on the topic.

If your content is just replicated from other sites, you will be exposed as someone who does not actually know what they are talking about and so won’t look heavily on your product suggestions.  This could reduce the amount of site visitors who will be willing to click thru.

Problem three – author Bylines

Most free content is only given to you if you accept to place the writers byline under the article ( you can get into trouble if you try and use it without following the outlined rules ).  This poses an issue because most writer bylines include links.  When a reader gets done reading a fairly fascinating article, there’s a strong possibility that they will click on the writer’s byline link rather than your affiliate links.  This is the whole reason that these authors offer free content to start with, so that they may get their name and links out there to the general public.  Using this type of content may mean shooting yourself in the foot and losing possible profitable web site traffic.

After you put these 3 problems together, you are looking at a significant decline in income simply because you used free internet site content from article directories.  Though it could be the only option for some, if you’ve got the funds to buy your own original content, then you must go this route.  If you don’t have the finds , even so, you could be better off writing your own content and then hiring professional services when you have made a profit to work with.
