I will open an online business for website design Web. (set up as an LLC, I am the sole owner) Should I start keeping receipts of all business related expenses? Or my business considered a hobby if I do a certain amount of money in the year I'm filing. What kind of things that I can absorb about my business? (meals, gasoline, etc.) Do I need a separate business card credit / bank account for expenses? Am I obligated to accept payments to service the company through a business account or can they do the check / payment directly to me?

Otherwise, it's up to you to prove you're running a business and are not a hobby. You can prove that you're running a business while keeping your business accounts and personal accounts separate. You can dampen legitimate business expenses, including dinners with clients, automobile expenses, equipment, etc. Having a separate checking account and credit card is a good idea. However, it is not necessary. You can comingle your business personal expenses using your personal accounts. But if you do that, then it will be harder for you to prove that you run a business. For your return, you do not need a business account for you to make deposits. You just need to make deposits into your account separate your business use.
